ABOUT SSI DESIGN GROUP

SSI Design Group, Inc. came to life in 1992, when Sherry and Dick Sarine moved to North Carolina from the New York Hudson River Valley. A designer and a businessman, the two formed a company that would make beauty and practicality accessible to every homeowner. The company's reputation for ground-up design grew the business until there was a need to add additional designers with the skill set to handle both large and small projects. SSI Design Group, Inc. expanded in 2005 into a design co-operative and now has seven interior designers on staff. 

The company handles all aspects of both commercial and residential interior design. Our eight talented designers all have the depth of design experience and knowledge base for any project from assisted living facilities to community clubhouses, banking facilities as well as individual offices. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional services for space planning, tenant up-fitting, 3D interior conceptual drawings, Auto Cad, etc.

Sherry Sarine began her interior design business in 1987 in New York and relocated to North Carolina in 1992. While starting her design business independently, Sherry worked as staff designer for Fortis Homes until 1998 when she left to focus 100% of her design talents on the SSI Design Group, Inc. Unlike many designers, Sherry has concentrated her energy on developing specialized skills to aid her clients during the construction phase of a new home. She assists the builder community and new homebuyers in the process of selecting interior/exterior paint colors, shingles, shutters, kitchen cabinets, flooring, carpeting, area rugs, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, and other aesthetic elements that can be overwhelming to the new homebuyer and an overhead for the builders. Her assistance in this process helps buyers and builders alike come to critical decisions quickly with great results, thus shortening the process, saving expensive time, and avoiding costly mistakes. 

Dick Sarine brings a strong, 38-year corporate business background to SSI Design Group, Inc. He has retired twice, first from Ciba-Geigy Corporation and then from IBM Corporation in the information technology field. As Director and Vice-President of Corporate Information Services for Ciba and subsequently as a Project Executive for IBM Global Services, Dick has broad experience in processes, procedures, purchasing, and budgets. His is the perfect background for running the "back office" of SSI Design Group, Inc.

That friendly voice that answers our phones most likely is that of Susan Sinnott, our Office Manager, who joined SSI Design Group, Inc. in August 2005 after a twelve-year absence from the business world. During that time Susan completed her undergraduate degree in Business Management at Guilford College while raising three children. Her previous work experience as a financial analyst at Ciba-Geigy and Pepsi Corp. makes Susan a valuable member of the team at SSI Design Group, Inc.
